Bangladesh has defeated Maldives by 109 runs in U-23 Cricket of men’s cricket. Following the target set of 175 runs set by the Bangladeshi team; Maldives could push itself only upto 65 runs in 19.2 over.

In the batting of Maldives, Ali Evan and Ahmed Hasan scored double digit runs of 12 and 10 respectively but the other batsman could push their limit upto single digit score only. For the Bangladeshi team Tanvir Islam took 5 wickets while Abedin Afredi and Afif Hussain took 1-1 wicket.

For the team Bangladesh, Najlul Hussain made 49 runs while Captain Saumya Sarkar scored 46 runs. In Addition to it , Mohammad Nayeem contributed 38 runs. The other cricketrs, Ebrahim Hassan, Ajyan Fartha and Mohammad Mafuz took 1-1 wickets under the bowling of Maldives.

The player of the match has been declared as Tanvir Islam.

This is the second consecutive victory of Bangladesh in SAG 2019 Cricket. In the early match, it had defeated Nepal by 6 wickets.
